This year’s conference kicks off on Friday morning with a special plenary session of three presentations covering “Issues Challenging U.S. Aquaculture”, “Fish Health Perspectives” and “Funding Options for Aquaculture”. Friday afternoon will feature two concurrent sessions on “Water Quality, Biosecurity & Fish Health” and “Raising Fish 101”. Friday will end with the Annual OAA Business Meeting at 4 PM where we will hold elections for President and Vice-President of the association. This will be followed by our Conference Social from 5-7 PM featuring spirits and hors d’oeuvres.

Saturday starts with two concurrent “farmer to farmer” roundtable discussion sessions covering 3-4 subjects in each concurrent session. The intent of these discussions is for farmers to interact and learn from each other so as to avoid repeat mistakes, avoid reinventing the wheel, and help enhance the success of Ohio fish farms. Saturday morning concludes with a second plenary session for all attendees covering “Safety on Fish Farms”, What Does Success Look Like”, and OSU’s new extension aquaculture program Director, Dr. Herbert Quintero, presenting on his approach and strategies to help Ohio fish farmers. Conference ends at noon.

This year's conference will once again be held at the Quest Conference Center at 9200 Worthington Road, Westerville, OH 43082. Three adjacent hotels are nearby for conference attendees to use: Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn, and Four Pointes by Sheraton Inn.
